Top 10 Craziest / Coolest Concept Cars | Must See These

Pushing boundaries of design and technology are key objectives of concept cars. Parts of concept vehicles we see today will be on the road in 10 years. With that in mind, we have highlighted the top 10 craziest concept cars that push boundaries and reimagine how we would use a vehicle!

Starting off at number 10, the Audi AI:Trail Quattro

Audi is reimagining how people might off-road in the future. This futuristic concept features bold and rugged design cues while resembling something we might see in a science fiction movie.

As the name nodes to, the Trail Quattro has four electric motors (one on each wheel) and is designed to conquer the harshest off-road trails. The AI means Audi imagines us enjoying the outdoors, relaxing, and watching what’s happening. It is no longer a matter of the driver’s skill level dictating if you can get to and from the destination.

Not sure how we feel about this, but we love the looks of this sexy concept!

Up next at number 9, the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR

Taking inspiration from Avatar, this concept car features seamless integration between humans, machines, and nature. Wouldn’t that be amazing? Road rage at just a thought; No, in all seriousness, this is an amazing vehicle.

In addition to its futuristic design, the vehicle operates with biometric connectivity. There is a feedback loop between the human operator and the vehicle sensors.

Powered by four independently controlled motors, the AVTR can crab walk at a 30-degree angle, almost do a complete turn within its wheelbase, and features torque vectoring to aid in turning.

The battery is the most revolutionary aspect of the whole car. Based on graphene-based organic cell chemistry, this battery would completely eliminate rare, toxic, and expensive raw materials. This battery is 100 percent recyclable and would eliminate the use of fossil resources!

That’s tough to follow, but the BMW Vision M NEXT is our 8th pick!

While other manufacturers are proposing radical new approaches to what a vehicle is and how we interact with it, BMW’s Vision M NEXT shows unique technology that may make it into the next generation of M series cars.

This concept car reimagines the future of sports cars with its electrified powertrain and striking design. The Vision M NEXT can switch between electric and hybrid modes giving the driver options from efficiency to sport.

If you love this concept car, BMW offers a new way to experience it. BMW is offering the STL file to print on your 3D printer at home!

Moving on to number 7, we have the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio

This concept car from the Italian supercar manufacturer known for radical aero packages turned a corner. While the Terzo Millennio features many hard lines and very aggressive styling, it isn’t what we call Lamborghini Over-The-Top.

For power, Lamborghini is replacing its V-12 in favor of four hub motors to create instant torque at the location of need; inside the wheel.

The most radical concept of the Terzo MIllennio is the nanomaterial technology they are using. They hope the vehicle’s body panels can be an energy storage device!

We wonder how shocking an accident could be?

Following the Terzo Millennio is the Porsche Mission E

Porsche traces its roots back to 1898 when Ferdinand Porsche was designing and testing electric vehicles before he even founded Porsche.

The Mission E is an all-electric concept with sleek lines featuring four powerful electric motors totaling 600 horsepower, 0 to 60 times under 3.5 seconds, four seats, and a 300-mile range!

Unlike most electric vehicles, the Mission E is an 800-volt system. This makes the electric system lighter overall, aiding in that genuine Porsche feel when driving.

Mission E has taken the design world by storm, winning many most beautiful concepts awards.

Taking the 5th spot on our list is the Edison Future EF1 T

The electric market is experiencing a gold rush similar to the one last seen in the 1800s. Everyone and their brother is rushing to find small niches that might allow them to gain a foothold in the market. With the recent debut of the Tesla Cybertruck, the truck market has seen many radical concept trucks, with many making it into production.

From China, “S,” “P,” and “I” Energy is launching the Edison Future company. Their first concept truck is the EF1 T. Configured with anywhere from 1 to 3 motors, ranging in a total horsepower rating of 500 to 700 horsepower, the EF1 T can tow anywhere from 7,500 to 11,000 lbs. Hoping to help extend the range, the EF1 T features a solar power roof and solar tonneau cover.

The interior is sparse, with only a 17-point 5-inch display to control everything inside. While this isn’t a radical concept like our number 1 or 2, it does represent the radical change within the truck market.

On a different note, the Lincoln L100 aspires to be the pinnacle of luxury and technology.

Paying homage to the first luxury vehicle that Lincoln produced back in 1922, the L100 reimagines how cars will be used. Designed to be fully autonomous, the interior floor is a digital screen able to be configured for the owner’s liking. The occupants simply move a chest piece on the center console to dictate where the vehicle should go. Gone are the days of sitting in traffic behind the wheel.

Instead, the journey of moving locations can be as tranquil as a picnic with friends or engaging as a board meeting. The automobile is now a featured way of moving between locations.

What makes this next concept car so high on our list may not be how crazy the concept is, as what it stands for. Peugeot is planning on making a return to the United States. Potentially as soon as 2025!

The Peugeot Inception Concept has a striking look with the reverse angle grill, harsh lines, transparent roof, and crazy wheels. The interior is no less edgy with the square steering wheel and an open concept.

Powered by two electric motors producing 680 horsepower, capable of launching the Inception to 60 in under three seconds. At a range of 497 miles, this optional autonomous driving vehicle could make long road trips much more enjoyable.

Arguably a tie for number 1 is the Hyperion XP-1.

This jaw-dropping concept is making its way into production with the following stats: 2,000 plus horsepower, 220 plus miles per hour, zero to sixty in 2 point two five seconds, all-wheel drive, 1,000-mile range, and it is rechargeable in three to five minutes.

Let that sink in for a second.

How is this possible? The XP-1 is actually hydrogen-powered. The hydrogen fuel cell pulls from space technology to increase efficiency. The XP-1 uses space technology throughout the entire car. Even the look and feel of this amazing vehicle is space inspired.

If you want to know more about this, let us know. We will do an entire video on this amazing car and technology if we get enough interest.

Finally, taking the crown as the craziest concept is the Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Valkyrie is a road-legal F-1 car, or at least as close as you can come. The concept was co-developed with Red Bull Racing, and it is absolutely insane.

The car corners at over 3.3 G’s. We didn’t even know that much g-force was possible. For reference, most high-end sports cars are around 1 G.

With an eye on weight savings, every ounce that wasn’t absolutely necessary was removed. The Aston Martin logo was shaved down to just 40 microns thick, about half the thickness of a piece of paper. The rear brake light had to be enlarged to fit the legally required “D,” “O,” and “T” marks.

Every aspect of the Valkyrie pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in a road-legal vehicle.
